Knitted Sculpture

Here is my finished necklace/scarf. Yes Knitting Nancy is not just for kids. Want to try it on a much larger scale check then this out- it was created by 'Superblues' and sited at Canary Wharf in 2010.

Or on a slightly smaller scale - this is by artist Lauren Mullarkey.

Or still want to use needles?  This is Christien Meinderstma working on a part of a project called 'Design for a Living World' for The Nature Conservancy and made with wool from an organic flock of Panama sheep from Lava Lake Ranch, Idaho.
I have followed the art of Brazilian Ernesto Neto for many years and this is his work Hyper Culture Madness in the Vertigo World - brilliant.

Another guy - this time Italian artist Ivano Vitali who knits and crochets using yarn made from strips of found materials, such as newspapers and phonebooks, with no glue, colouring or added water. He has been experimenting with recycled paper since the 1970s.

So carry on making interesting and not boring stuff and try not to damage the planet.
