Recycling Jumpers WOYWW 375

Back from a nice break in Yorkshire and didn't get wet! So I'm back to converting the stash which had a bit more added to - mum-in-laws jumpers which had been shrunk by the carer and my friend Pat who had a couple which were felted and used by pets. I have decided to make a cushion and use up a few of the old buttons using only hand-stitching this time so I can do it in front of the TV since I have a backlog of recorded stuff to watch. I'm not wasting any bondaweb and so am using a frame and tacking the pieces down. Will show the result next week - I am looking forward to using up some of my chunkier threads on this.

Went to a craft fair in Skipton where I met a lovely lady making jewellery out of recycled bits Daisy Louise - I had to buy one of her pea pod necklaces. Yesterday I made an exciting purchase - yes I know I wasn't supposed to add to the stash but will show you next week - I can't wait to get started but my hubby is not impressed with the space it is taking up.

  4. That will make a great cushion cover, just make sure you don't fall asleep on it, face down! You've got quite an impressive collection of threads there! Loving that piece of jewellery and can't even imagine what your new acquisition might be. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #24

  5. Great colours on your cushion cover, Jackie - and just LOOK at all those glorious embroidery threads... Wonderful - positively delicious. Takes up a lot of room??? Maybe a huge original weaving loom..?
Tee hee - see next week.
    Take care. God bless.
